Workshop of the world : A Glimpse

After the reform era, China has become a major power in manufacturing and export. From being a poor country in the past, China has shown a rapid transformation. Past decade, the initial mindset of people whenever they hear the name China would have been the lookalike products with less quality. Whatever product the world countries throw there will be a product from China that seems similar only with less quality. But now it is all changing with the massive growth of China. From the production and export of products that are labor-intensive to skill-intensive high-tech products, China has a diversified composition that even the world countries are threatened with its progress.

The major reasons for its growth in the past was the vertical specialization in production, its strength in the assembly of goods, and unstoppable export.

Leaving behind the past, what power can China possibly hold in the future since other countries are ready to overthrow it now with new strategies and trade partnerships? It is one of the keys to the future. The renewable energy sources. China is the largest in the world in producing and installing solar panels since 2015. It intensely tells it people and organizations to install solar panels in order to become independent when it comes to oil sources.

China is already the dominant player in the production of new generation batteries. The world has to depend on China for raw material for new generation batteries. China has produced more than 70 % of graphite in the world market and half of the production in cobalt and anode material which are needed for batteries. These batteries are essential for electric vehicles and other essential gadgets like cell phones and laptops.
