Logistics management is primarily concerned with optimizing flows within and out of the organization.

Logistics is essentially a framework that creates single plan for flow of products and information through a products.

Logistics tend to focus on transportation and distribution


supply chain management deals with integration of all partners in the value chain.

Scm build up on this framework and seeks to achieve linkage and coordination between process of suppliers and customers and organization itself .

Scm focuses on purchasing and procurement, production,planning,demand management from time of origin to time of consumption
