There are many and varied possible uses of artificial intelligence in supply chain management. For instance, apart from improving the power and functionality of systems such as WMS and TMS, AI may allow computers to perform tasks that are usually reserved for humans.
Advances in AI technology have also made computer vision, natural language processing, and similar sensory advances possible, basically allowing computers the ability to see, hear, and speak in similar ways to humans.
The helpdesk is also automated with AI, leading to an organization use the language processing and conversational interface of the chatbot to provide text-based communications between procurement workers and supplier systems, and between the employees of suppliers and their internal business information solution (SAP).
Authorized users could open the chat interface to conduct queries to which artificial intelligence, due to its ability to interrogate multiple systems, answer questions in text conversations and pull up related files and documents for inspection, given the answers in moments.
Good read. Would like to know more on the areas where artifical intelligence can be implemented in the field of supply chain to improve efficiency and responsiveness
