Mahindra Logistics faced a loss of Rs 17 Crore

The revenue fell 54.39 per cent in the quarter to Rs 410 crore against Rs 899 crore in the previous year period. The lock down and disruptions has severely affected the company's operation. The ware house space under the management increased by 0.25 million square feet. There was a significant reduction in the industrial activity, increase in work from home and lower business sentiments impacted the overall economy and industry.
Because of this the company has obtained approval from the board of directors to increase the additional borrowings.

How to mitigate the loss
1) Manage the materials: should manage items more aggressively to drive down overall inventory.

2)In the future prime focus must be on investment in technology and automation

3)There must be more E-Commerce activities.

4)They have to shift from the ongoing practices of logistics.

5)There must be more inventory velocity ie materials must be supplied at a faster rate.

6)There must be end to end visibility throughout the supply chain so that it normal hoard any goods.

7)There must be more automated processes.
